Rajouri, Nov 13: security forces in a joint operation busted a militant hideout in Budhal of Rajouri and recovered arms and ammunitions including hand grenades and PIKA Gun rounds here today. "Following a tip off, a search operation was launched jointly by the 60RR, 163 TA under 15 sector RR and J&K police at Nilla forest near Kandi and the recovery was made at about 1800hrs, said PRO Defence Lt Col Manish Mehta here today. He said, "During search of the area troops recovered 01 AK 56 rifle, along with 03-magazines, 41 rounds, 03-Chinese Hand Grenades and 03 rounds of PIKA Gun." The consignment was reportedly hidden by some militants who might later have been killed in the encounters as the material got abandoned and rusted. |
