Jammu, Nov 13: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today declared the party contested from 15 seats in forthcoming assembly election. According to press release, the state president of NCP and former minister Thakur Randhir Singh declared the list of candidates in the meeting. Addressing the core committee, he said that party was contesting on 15 seats in Jammu and Kashmir the candidates which were given handed over nomination papers include Kamal Gupta Sr Vice President , NCP candidate from 73- Jammu West constituency , a well known educationist and President Private Educational Institutions Association of J&K and a well known social activist , Gourav Kapoor, State President NYC youth wing of NCP , NCP candidate from 71-Gandhi Nagar constituency, in possession of flying license , Bhajan Lal ,a 30 year old youth leader NCP candidate from Chammb constituency ,he is the first candidate from Pahari belt from Chammb constituency and social worker , he comes from famous Ghardi community of Schedule caste. He further said that a comprehensive manifesto of NCP party will be released next week. Singh said NCP has a big plan to expose oil, gas wealth identified in the area of Poonch Rajouri, Akhnoor to Udhampur, Upper Kathua and goes up to Doda, Kishtwar and Padder but successive govts and local MP's never took initiative like Andaman and Nicobar where the Oil exploration has started in spite of the opposition of foreign and home ministries. |
