KC Public School celebrates 17th Annual Sports Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 21: KC Public School today celebrated 17th Annual Sports Day in a grand manner with about 3000 parents and invited guests in attendance. Principal Secretary, Planning & Development, BR Sharma, was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Kiran Wattal, was the Guest of Honour. Raju Chowdhary, Vice Chairman and Arti Chowdhary, Director of Junior School were also present on the occasion. The function started with the unfurling of the national flag by the Chief Guest after which the contingents of athletes from four Houses of the school marched past the saluting base in a colourful parade to the accompaniment of the 'Saare Jahan Se Acchha' tune played by the school brass band. Thereafter, the school Principal Amarendra Mishra delivered his welcome address followed by mass PT display by about 500 children of the school set in synch with Michael Jackson's song 'They don't care about us'. The next item was a winsome drill display by senior girls of the school. The main events of the day were 15 final track races for both boys and girls under different age categories. Raju Chowdhary, the Vice Chairman of the KC Educational Society, presented the vote of thanks. |
