The scandal runs into crores, besides it has put the career of over 3000 students in jeopardy.
While talking to "Early Times" Principal Government Medical College Jammu Dr Ghansham said the department has initiated an inquiry against the Apex Paramedical Institute Doda and Asraria Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar to be conducted by senior HOD Dr Bhatia, added that Paramedical Counsel will initiate action against them once Dr Bhatia would submit his report.
Dr Ghansham said that they would discuss the issue in next board meeting of Paramedical Counsel wherein the council will pass a stricture against these illegal institutes.
He said that as paramedical Board President, his department has already send a letter to them asking them to close the institution as it is without NOC and is running illegally. He said that they are also contemplating to seal the institute and urged upon the students not to take admission in the institution as its certificate has no validity. He said the process for recovery of all pending dues towards the institution would be initiated against the institute.
It is pertinent to mention that in an open loot and duping of innocent students, Apex Para medical institute in Doda and Asrariya Para Medical and Research Institute Kishtwar has not only put the career of the innocent students is at stake, but they also lost the hard earned money of their parents as the certificates and diplomas issued by the institute are either fake or invalid.
The institute also took heavy toll on government exchequer as it has failed to deposit an amount of approximately Rs 44 lakhs towards Hospital Development Fund (HDF) to District Hospital Doda which is necessary for the paramedical institutions under law to deposit clinic training fee @Rs5000/student.
The matter came to fore when the victims applied for various advertised posts of paramedical in District Hospital Doda wherein the authorities declared their certificates as fraud and invalid.
