IG directs SPs, SHOs to go all out against criminals

Jammu, Oct 6: The police have been directed to go all out and take strict action against notorious criminals, who are starting gang war in the Jammu. The direction has been issued after a shoot out in the Jammu high court Tuesday.
According to the sources the police on the directions of the top leadership has decided to arrest all the criminals against whom cases are pending and also file fresh cases against them. The police has also decided to vigoursly pursue the cases against noted criminals who are on the bail.
According to sources, IG Jammu has taken a serious note of the incident in the high court and has made it clear that criminal activities of any kind will not be allowed and all SHOs and district SPs have been directed to ensure that criminals are not allowed any freedom.
The directions by the IG have been communicated in no uncertain terms and the police officials have been directed to comply with the directions firmly .
The SHOs and district SPs more particularly of the Jammu districts have been directed to prepare a list of the criminal cases pending against noted criminals and the status of their cases .
"IGP will personally take note of each case and the directions will be issued to purse the cases against criminals who have managed to get bail in the absence of the strong prosecution," said a senior police official.
The Government has appointed best honest officers in the Jammu zone and the mandate has been given to them that people must get a feel of the rule of law.
