Jammu, Jan 31: Fortnight awareness programme launched on the topic "Oil and Gas Conservation" today culminated with valedictory function organised by Oil Industry at Hotel Fortune Inn Riveira, Jammu. While speaking on the occasion, G.S.Chib Director, CAPD Jamu underlined the need for launching a vigorous compaign to create awareness among people about the importance of onservation of oil and gas to make the future of country secure. He said that the main objective of celebrating this fortnight is to create awareness about fuel saving tips during day to day activities adding that the consumsption of fuel like oil and gas used in human activity including transport, industries, agriculture and households an be reduced to a large extent, if these tips are followed by the consumers. Sr. Regional Manager, HPCL Manish Tandon briefing about the activities during the fortnight said that various events aimed at creating mass awareness about conserving petroleum products were organised during fortnight adding further that symposiums, essay, competitions, painting, slogan writing and quiz competitions were held in various schools and colleges while cycle rallies were taken out in various localities besides panel discussions through electronic media. State Level Coordinator of Oil Companies in J&K Hari Anupam threw light on aims and objects of celebration of oil and gas conservation fortnight. Later the Director distributed mementoes amaongst the students who took part in various activities during the fortnight long celebrations. |
