Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 31: An SHO, who was attached with a police station in Udhampur district even after his transfer to Reasi district, has ultimately been 'relieved'.
For a long time, he remained SHO of the police station under whose jurisdiction falls a famous tourist resort, according to police sources.
He would book rooms for senior police officers whenever they visited the tourist resort. This way, he developed personal relations with them. He did not want to leave the thana, so when he was transferred from Udhampur to Reasi district some time back, these officers came to his rescue and ensured that he was not relieved, sources said. "He is now ultimately relieved and transferred to Jammu-Kathua-Samba range," sources informed, but said he was trying again to get his 'relieving' and 'transfer' order cancelled.
