Jammu's Archana Sharma crowned 'Mrs J&K 2016'
'Beauty with brains' ultimately scores over others

JAMMU, Jan 31:The Grand Finale of the 'Mrs J&K 2016' event had a scintillating finish where the participating women showcased their talent and abilities on a platform provided by 'The Performers' which gave them an opportunity to bring the best out of them.
The higher confidence level of the participants was an added feature to the style of these women as they handled the pressure situations in the entire contest with such élan and ease which even forced the audience assembled at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust auditorium to give it a thundering applause.
For the 'Mrs J&K 2016' event, 25 contestants out of 32 were short listed for the Grand Finale which comprises of tradition, innovative, bridal, catwalk and question-answer rounds.
In the catwalk round, the participating women walked the ramp in their own unique styles in a bid to achieve better scores from the jury adjudging the event.
The Grand Finale witnessed intense competition among every participant and they utilized every possible opportunity up their sleeves to clinch the crown of Mrs J&K, however, it was Archana Sharma, who with her impeccable handling of the rounds proved that 'beauty with brains' is what matters at last as she was crowned Mrs J&K-2016 amid a round of applause from a large gathering witnessing the show.
Archana Sharma, a resident of Bantalab area of Jammu is a trained singer as well as a theatre actor which ultimately proved useful for her to take up tricky rounds with all the assurance needed for to handle them. The first and second runners-up were Rimjhim and Hina respectively, both of whom hailed from Kashmir.
While Rimjhim is a teacher by profession, the Second Runner-up Hina has fashion designing as occupation.
In all, it was an event where the contesting women got an opening where their hidden abilities met the outer world which in turn would go a long way in boosting their morale, a much needed stimulant for the "fairer sex".
