JAMMU, Jan 31: A police Inspector, who was very close to a minister in the BJP-PDP government and who had been trying for his posting as SHO of any police station in the city, has been shunted out. The Inspector was attached to the DPL here for the past some time and had utilised all his resources to get posted as SHO of any of the police stations here. However, instead of posting him in a Jammu police station, the authorities concerned have transferred him to another range, according to police sources. With the change of his range, he would not be posted in Jammu now, the sources added. He was earlier posted as SHO of a police station here, but following complaints of professional misconduct against him, he was attached with the DPL. He had also levelled serious allegations against his seniors. Though departmental action was later taken against him, he was again posted as SHO of a police station here on the intervention of the Minister. However, after the imposition of Governor’s Rule in the state, the authorities concerned shifted him to a peripheral area where he remained posted for a short period and had to be attached with the DPL following complaints against him. During a surprise checking in the police station, a senior officer had also marked his absence. |
