Rajouri, Jan 31: Two kids, including an 11-month-old baby were scalded to death while three other members of a family were injured after an overhead tank full of boiling water burst onto them in Budhal area of Jammu and Kashmir early Sunday.
Reports said that the plastic tank melted due to an electric boiler at 4 am this morning and spilled boiling water onto the five members of the family sleeping below in Phalni village of Rajouri district.
All the five members received critical burn injuries in the accident, following which they were rushed to District Hospital.
However, the doctors present there referred them to GMCH Jammu for advanced treatment. A year-old child, identified as Uzma, succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital while three-year-old Aahma died at the hospital. |
