JAMMU, Jan 31 : Jammu Police XI registered 11-run win against Khalsa Cricket Club to enter the semifinals of the ongoing 4th Eid Diwali Christmas Twenty20 Cricket Cup at Parade ground, here today. Earlier, batting first, Jammu Police XI set a target of 196 runs for the loss of six wickets, which, in reply, Khalsa Club could not chase and bowled out for 184 runs. Ishtiaq top scored with 83 runs while Umar Nabi made 47 runs . From Khalsa Club, Manu, Harpreet and Vishal shared one wicket each. Later, Khalsa Club tried hard to overhaul the opponent total but they could not do it and the whole side bundled out for 184 runs. Vivek Singh and Harinder were main scorers with 31 and 27 runs respectively. From Jammu Police XI, skipper Rajesh Gill took most of the three wickets, followed by Amir and Ishtiaq, who shared two each. Ishtiaq was declared man of the match. Today's quarterfinal was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sanju and Danny. FIXTURE : ICC Seniors shall take on Evershine Seniors XI at 10.30 am in 2nd New Year T20 for Vaterans while KC Sports Junior shall meet Christian Sports Junior at 2.00 pm in 2nd JKP New Year Tri-Series U-15 tomorrow. |
