Jammu, Apr 13: The Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, and the BJP's national organizing secretary, Ram Lal have taken cognizance of the alleged indiscipline by a senior BJP minister in the State Government, during a public function in at Jammu on Tuesday.
The said BJP minister is learnt to have invited attention of the party leaders as well as his colleagues when he forcefully occupied a seat on the dais where Arun Jaitley, MoS in PMO, Dr Jatinder Singh, Ram Lal, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and others were sitting.
Even as all the BJP ministers, legislators and senior leaders of the party were sitting on both sides of the dais, where proper sitting arrangement for them was made, the said minister stepped on the stage and forcefully occupied a seat there. Despite polite requests by the members of stage organizing committee, he did not leave the place and remained there till the function was over.
The public function was organized in connection with the inauguration of newly constructed office of the BJP at Trikuta Nagar Jammu and Arun Jaitley was chief guest on the occasion.
Seats on the dais were kept only for Arun Jaitley, Jatinder Singh, Ram Lal, Dy CM Nirmal Singh, Speaker Kavinder Gupta, State BJP president Sat Sharma, MP Jugal Kishore, MP Shamsher Singh and MLC Ashok Khajuria, who was presiding the function. Sitting arrangement for all the ministers, legislators and senior leaders of the party was made on both sides of the dais.
The behavior of this minister invited attention of everyone, particularly his ministerial colleagues, who did not waste time to complain against the same.
The said minister had apparently occupied seat on the dais in an attempt to convey party workers and supporters that his stature was above other cabinet colleagues, who were sitting among audience.
However, this attempt has backfired as Union ministers and BJP organizing secretary Ram Lal have taken a serious note of his issue. |
