Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 18: Keeping in view the present security situation and forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2016 season, a mock drill for dealing with severe law and order problem was conducted by District Police Ramban at DPL Ramban. As a capacity building measure and directions of Director General of Police, J&K to deal with any law and order with minimum use of force with non-lethal weapons, in this regard a drill was conducted in collaboration with Duty Magistrate, CRPF 160 Bn and District Police Authorities. As many as 175 Police personnel including CRPF men have attended mock drill. The exercise was conducted under the personal supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar, Supervisory officers and Tehsildar, Ramban S. Gurpreet Singh,. The mock drill was based on a specific plan involving deployment of police manpower and resources of key strategies points so as to prevent law and order situation turning violent or going out of control. The ultimate objective was to secure the lives and property of the people in such situations and build confidence among general public. |
