BJP mantri goes out of way to appease Kashmiri leaders
'Talks with separatists part of Agenda of Alliance'

Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minister has extended the olive branch to anti-national separatists by claiming that state unit of BJP is ready to facilitate the talks between them and the central government.
The BJP senior leader has described the separatists "their own people" and "not outsiders."
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It seems BJP has forgotten all its pre-poll promises. During its election campaign BJP left no opportunity to claim that if it comes into power it would scrap Article 370 and would ensure that JK's special status is revoked."
He said, "After coming into power BJP seems to have forgotten all its promises and is talking in the language of separatists. It's really unfortunate that BJP senior minister who holds an important portfolio is eager to give legitimacy to anti-nationals who at the behest of their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) have been fomenting trouble in Jammu and Kashmir for the past 25-years."
"Separatists, who do not indulge in violence, and are ready for talks, then as per the Agenda of Alliance, we will like to revive the GoI-separatist talks as was the case during Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led government," the senior BJP minister was quoted as having said.
An observer said, "The BJP leader has made a candid confession about talks with separatists being the part of the Agenda of Alliance (AoA). It's a very serious issue and it shows that BJP has bartered the interests of Jammu region for the sake of power."
He said, "The tall promises made by BJP are falling flat with each passing day. It has become clear that Jammu based BJP leaders are not leaving any stone unturned to appease the Kashmir based leadership and is pursuing the anti-Jammu agenda."
An analyst while dismissing the statement of the senior BJP minister said, "The Jammu based leaders are unaware of the party policy and they give statements on their own."
Referring to the recent statement of the BJP senior leader and Member Parliament Subramaniyam Swamy, wherein he had stated that Article 370 would be revoked by 2017 and Kashmir problem would be resolved by 2019, he said, "BJP minister has contradicted the senior party leader. The BJP high command should take a note of it and initiate action against him for giving statements which don't fall within his domain. The state BJP leaders need to be cut to the size so that they don't become a cause of embarrassment for the party," he added.
