A group of parents told early times that the very idea of summer vacation is to save school going children from the intense heat wave which is prevalent in Jammu region these days. "Keeping in view that the temperature in Jammu is hovering several degrees above normal, it would be judicious for the authorities to call for early summer break in schools" said Sunaina Devi, mother of students of a city private school. It is pertinent to mention here that several schools are conduction examination at this point in time, further making lives of young children difficult. "Intense heat coupled with power cuts are making it difficult for the students to prepare for exams" averred another parent.
