Jammu, Sept 19: Following suspension of several police officers in Amandeep murder case investigation, Razak Khan has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Jammu South in place of Mumtaz Ahmed.
Mumtaz was among six officers including the Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Manohar Singh suspended in the murder investigation case late Friday evening. The new SP South Razak Khan was earlier Additional SP Reasi.
Kulwant Singh Jasrotia has been posted as new Sub Divisional Police Officer Gandhi Nagar while Bashir Ahmed Naaz has been posted as SP CID (SS).

Jammu, Sept 19: In yet another food scam, the Crime Branch Jammu has booked an Assistant Director, a Tehsil Supplies Officer and several other officers of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department as also some private persons in a case of Rs 47 lakh embezzlement in Udhampur.
An official spokesman said that the Crime Branch today registered a case against several officials of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CADP) Department Udhampur for large scale bungling and misappropriation of ration meant for BPL, AAY and other poor categories of the people living in the District. Jammu, Sept 19- In a major reshuffle Jammu and Kashmir High Court today ordered transfers and postings of 47 Judges of Subordinate judiciary.
This is for the first time that transfer orders were approved and issued without holding full court meeting of High Court judges. It was also the first such major reshuffle after Justice Barin Gosh took as a Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High court, the official sources said.

Jammu, Sept 19: The State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) has taken a lead in ensuring transparency in dealing with the applications received by it under the Right To Information (RTI) Act. It has posted the details of the action taken on these applications on its website.
Overall, the applicants were provided the requisite information in 27 out of 28 cases. In one case, case no SVO-PE-SLK-2/05, regarding cancellation of liquor licenses, the applicant was not provided any information. Even this fact that the information was not provided to the applicant has been given on the website.
