| Hang Guru immediately: Bajrang Dal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 13: On the 11th anniversary of Parliament attack, Bajrang Dal on Thursday held a protest rally at Jantar Mantar New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion state convener of Bajrang Dal Shiv Kumar said that 11 years have passed since the attack "but the perpetrators of attack have not been punished yet." "The government had set up fast track court for the speedy completion of the case. But despite the court decision, justice has been delayed by the government by misinterpreting Article 72 of the Constitution. The dreaded terrorist Afzal Guru who has been awarded capital punishment by the Supreme Court is still alive because of our coward government surrendered before the appeasement policy for vote bank," he alleged. Media chief VHP-Delhi Vinod Bansal said the demonstrators carrying placards first paid homage to the departed souls who put their lives fighting the terrorist to save the largest democratic temple of the world. "They raised their voice for immediate hanging of Guru to satisfy the citizen of the country that the Union government is not playing in the hands of terrorists but has the courage to hang them for the safety and security of the country. The mercy petition is pending for long but our Home Minister doesn't have time to look at it," he said. A 'yagna' was also organized by VHP and Arya Samaj in South Delhi to pay tribute to martyrs of Parliament attack. |
