| ET stands by its report, novel not included in syllabus | | Renzu Shah responds | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13: In a bid to do some damage control to the ridicule that news about his novel, Zakhmoon ki Salgirah being included in the M Phil syllabus of Hyderbad Central University, former Director Information, Renzu Shah responded with a letter from Dr Nishati Ahmad from Hyderabad. Dr Nishati congratulates Shah for research being done by a student, Manzoor Husain Kumar on his novel. Dr Nishati happens to be the guide for the researcher. This is what the Early Times Report `CU Hyderabad brings Renzu's lie to fore' is all about. Early Times has clearly stated that a student was doing research on the novel but that does not mean that it has been included in the syllabus. Early Times as already stated is in possession of a email from the PRO of the University and the HOD of the Department of Urdu, Professor Ehsas Baig's statement has been duly put on record. Renzu Shah knows very well that no syllabus is prescribed at M Phil stage. At this stage students do research on topics they chose. However, not withstanding this stark reality, Renzu circulated the `misleading' news from his personal email [email protected]. Early Times recognizes, acknowledges and appreciates any intellectual contribution from scholars, writers, journalists and academicians irrespective of caste, creed or gender. But when unscrupulous elements attempt to malign the image of the State for their petty interests ET takes serious note and exposes such elements. |
