| CRPF jawan found dead under mysterious circumstances | | |
JAMMU, Dec 12:A CRPF jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a bathroom of CRPF office premises in Bakshi Nagar area today. An internal inquiry by the CRPF authorities has initiated in this regard.
"His body was found hanging by his colleagues who later informed senior officers, sources said. They added that deceased has been identified as Gurmeet Singh of 166 battalion. Pertinent to mention here that jawan reportedly was being questioned by the CRPF officers of missing of INSAS Rifle, five magazine and 100 rounds from the store. Pertinently, some arms and ammunition was found missing in the Bakshi Nagar based office premises of CRPF and a case was registered with PS Bakshi Nagar. An internal inquiry was also started by CRPF officer in this connection Soon after the news the death of their kin the agitated family members of the deceased alleged harassment meted out to him which compelled him to take extreme step. Meanwhile a three member board of doctors comprising Dr Roopali Bagotra (Pathology), Dr Sangeeta (Forensic Expert) and Dr Sanjay (Surgery) conducted the postmortem of body and later police after legal formalities handed over to the family members for last rites.
