| Law Knowing People's Association formed | | |

JAMMU, Feb 20: In an endeavor to unify law knowing people at the state level, the members of law knowing community constituted Law Knowing People's Association today. This was a collective effort by some of the young advocates who convinced more than 200 advocates and 40 non-advocates to be enrolled as volunteers today.
All the volunteers and the attending law knowing community members unanimously elected a young advocate namely Arjun Singh Pathania as convener who has contributed maximum to the ideas of this association.
One impressive move of the organization of the association was that no person was made president or chairman or general secretary in the association, only a convener was appointed with four executive members. It was said that convener will be there for convening all the meetings of the association, appoint adhoc set-ups and to decide on the various issues to be taken by the association.
Those who were suggested by the members and finally appointed as executive members were Advocate Amit Manhas, Advocate Aman Mahajan, Advocate Aditya Badyal, Advocate G S Thakur, Advocate Sumit Kotwal, Advocate Ronik Sharma, Advocate Gagandeep Sharma, Advocate Sahil Kumar and Pawan Sharma.
Deciding the future prospect, it was decided that the association will take cognizance of the legal issues, organize legal awareness workshops, legal aid camps and will work for the betterment of law knowing community. The organization will play a very key role in the future and will fight against each and every injustice in the society. |
