NC spokesperson now employed, posted political secretary 2/21/2013 12:08:18 AM Saahil Suhail SRINAGAR, Feb 20: State Government today appointed National Conference spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq as political secretary to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on contractual basis. 35-year-old Tanvir Sadiq well equipped with Information and Technology techniques has studied information technology and management at New York's PMI Institute, a former PDP councilor who replaced the controversial Dr Mustafa Kamaal and was appointed as spokesperson of the party in 2010 and now in 2013 has been appointed as political sectary to Chief Minister. Government Order No.292-GAD of 2013 Dated: 20.02.2013 reads as "Sanction is hereby accorded to creation of post of Political Secretary to Chief Minister, on a consolidated salary of Rs. 80,000 per month, for a period of one year in the first instance. Consequent upon the above, Tanveer Sadiq is appointed as Political Secretary to the Minister, on the following terms and conditions: Contractual, terminable on one month's notice from either side." One year or co-terminus with the term of the Chief Minister, whichever is earlier Consolidated amount of 80,000 (Rupees Eighty Thousand only) per month as admissible under J&K CSRs as admissible to temporary Government employees, order available with Early Times reads. Sources inside the party said that Tanvir will resign from the party post on 21st of this month i.e. tomorrow and at the same time will join his Government job as reportedly Chief Minister feels alone while dealing with political affairs of the State.
