TBU launches signature campaign for Urdu Bill

DODA, Feb 20: Tehreek Baqaie Urdu (TBU) has launched a signature campaign at Doda in support of Constitutional Amendment Bill seeking justice for Urdu in the J&K State.
The campaign will be continued till tabling of Bill No 5 in the Assembly.
The signature campaign was launched under the supervision of Zakir Malik Bhallesi, TBU Spokesman and General Secretary from Doda town where various senior citizens and local people participated in it.
Initiating the campaign, two educationists of the district Ghulam Hussain Malik of Bhallesa and Abdul Rashid Naaz of Thathri put their signatures on the prescribed format launched by organization.
Announcing to launch separate campaign for J&K Legislators in order to seek their support, Zakir Malik Bhallesi said that on the direction of Farooq Shah Bukhari, Chief Patron TBU, the organization has launched this campaign simultaneously from Kashmir under the leadership of Johar Qadoosi, Kashmir Chapter head, Poonch under the leadership of Irfan Ali Arif President, Jammu under the leadership of Aftab Manhas, Students wing president, Rajouri under the supervision of Khirsheed Tantry and in Chinab Valley he along with Dr Tariq Tamkeen, Chapter Head have initiated the formal campaign.
Spokesman said that MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has submitted Private Member Bill No 5 in the Assembly Secretariat which pertained to amendment in Article 145 and Schedule 5 of the J&K Constitution.
He said that TBU has already demanded all party MLAs to vote nd support this Bill as this pertained to the official language and everybody has duty to safeguard the state language.
