| 28 bovine rescued, three held | | |

Jammu/Kathua, Feb 20: Police seized 28 bovine in three separate nakas at different locations in Kathua districts while three bovine smugglers have been arrested being involved in smuggling the bovine in vehicles from Punjab towards J&K State . Meanwhile manhunt is on to nab the absconding accused.
According to official reports said that based on specific input Police laid a naka at Jagatpur NHW near Radha Swami Satsang Ashram intercepted one truck (JK02AH-1281) driven by Riyaz Ahmed Mir S/O Latfulla Ahmed r/o Khalani Doda and his associate namely Faquir Hussain S/O Yousaf Ali r/o Jandyal Tehsil and District Jammu which was on way from Punjab towards J&K State.
During search Police recovered eleven animals from the said truck and arrested the driver and his associate .A case FIR No. 24/2013 U/S 188 RPC 3 PC Act stands registered at P/S Lakhanpur against the arrested accused person.
Similarly, Police party of P/S Rajbagh acting on specific information laid down a naka at NHW near P/S Rajbagh. During naka police intercepted truck (JK02AS - 8825) driven by one Abdul Hamid @ Munnu S/O Abdul Gani R/O Rangoora Bye Pass Jammu and his associate namely Hussain S/O Mussa R/O Shabey Check Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua, but the driver tried to give a slip to police and accelerated the vehicle.
The Police Party after a hot chase intercepted the truck near Bhambarwan, however the driver of the truck and his associate managed to escape. During search of the vehicle Police recovered twelve animals. A case in this case stands registered against FIR No.41/2013 U/S 188 RPC 3CA. Act, 3 Public Property Act at P/S Rajbagh. A manhunt has been started to arrest the accused persons.
Yet in another similar case police party of P/S Rajbagh intercepted one Mohindra Load carrier without registration Number driven by one Bashir S/O Abdul Haq R/O Bartain Vijaypur Tehsil and District Samba,and his associate namely Feroz Din @ Ferozu S/O Sheru R/O Haria Chak Tehsil Hiranagar Kathua but the said driver tried to escape from the spot. The Police Party after a hot chase intercepted the vehicle Ladwal near nursery. The driver of the vehicle is arrested and however his associate managed to escape from the spot. During search of the said vehicle Police recovered five bovine animals. A case under FIR No.42/2013 U/S 188 RPC 3CA Act stands registered at P/S Rajbagh. |
