| Rajouri to witness first ever "Post Office Festival": CPMG | | | JAMMU, Feb 20: Aiming to strengthening bonds and sensitize general masses about various services, department of Posts is organizing "Post Office Festival" and 'Philately Exhibition' in the border district of Rajouri.
According to press release, Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir John Samuel said that the festival would be for the first time in the history of Rajouri. The main function will be held at Himalayan Degree College, Chennai Bagla, and Rajouri.
Two special covers on "Chingus Fort" and "Poonch Fort" will be released on the inaugural day of Rajouri, which will be followed by Quiz Competition and Philately workshop for the school children. In Poonch district, the Department will launch "I love My Post Office Campaign" on 22-2-13 which will followed by Letter writing competition and Stamp Designing contest for school children and the theme for the letter writing competition will be "Write a letter to your Mother" and for Stamp Designing it will be "Folk Dances of J&K". Prizes will be distributed among the winners of these competitions in Rajouri as well in Poonch district respectively. |
