Kathua, Mar 15: District Development Commissioner Zahida Khan on Friday discussed arrangements for forthcoming Navratra festival.
According to press release, representatives of managing committees of different shrines located throughout the Kathua district besides various officers of district administration were present in the meeting. The DDC directed the PDD department to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the Navratra Days and impressed upon the executive officers of municipalities to ensure sanitation and proper hygiene in their respective areas. A committee under the supervision of the ACR Kathua was constituted by her for market checking of the quality and rates of the eatables during the Navratras. Besides arrangements related to the Water Supply, Security, fire tenders etc. were also discussed and necessary instructions were passed on by the DDC to the concerned departments.
