et plus report Jammu, Mar 15: The Jammu University’s Dhanvatri Library is without a signboard for the past two months. However, this is not a big issue with the authorities. They say the library has improved by leaps and bounds. The library presents a shabby look notwithstanding the fact that it is used by the scholars in particular and students in general for studying, reading newspapers, books and scholars also avail the internet facility for collecting information and search for the study material. When asked about the missing signboard, Professor Vivek Gupta in charge librarian, he said, ”these are small things. I don’t care.” However, he said the signboard costs Rs 20,000 which have to be get sanctioned from the JU funds. “It was destroyed by rains”, he said. He took the issue of non-functional wall clock lightly as well. Shockingly, the students have not been agitating these issues. |
