EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 21: Dogra College of Education, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu celebrated its 19th Annual Day here today in the college auditorium with great pomp and show. The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana and the presentation of various cultural items. Welcome Address was delivered by Shefali Sharma vice Principal Dogra College of Education which was followed by presentation of annual report by Prof B.D. Damral Director-cum- Principal, Dogra College of Education Prof BD Damral presented the annual report. Minister for PHE Sham Lal Sharma, who was the Chief Guest, while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the role of productive teachers in shaping the personality of the young students in the desired directions. He also emphasized upon the need and importance of teacher education in order to shape the future destiny of the nation. In addition to the achievements of students of Dogra College of Education in academies, he also appreciated the students for their participation in the various events of sports and cultural programmes. |
