jammu, Sept 21: It happened at the airport when entire Congress convoy (of senior leaders and ministers) was in waiting to welcome Ambika Soni who was to arrive today to attend a party function scheduled tomorrow at SKICC in Srinagar. While some leaders were busy in the party matters and programmes in pipeline, it was the Minister of Health and Medical Education and his arrogance at its peak once again which reportedly provoked GN Monga , a senior leader from Kashmir and MLC. Heated exchanges between the two continued to the extent that both used unbecoming language and expressions against each other , said the sources. It was Taj first who used the abusive language against Monga who in turn also followed the same pattern. Verbal duel continued in presence of senior ministers of the party some of whom tried to pacify the situation which had turned tense ahead of arrival of leaders from Delhi, said the sources. "I have given over 30 years to the party and nourished it in every possible way …..how can he (Taj) behave and conduct in a manner as if I am a fresher in the party ……he tries to dictate with his arrogant behavior which cannot be tolerated ", said Monga while responding to a query from ET. Monga however denied that Taj slapped him during the brawl between the two. If he dared so I would have given him four slaps instantly , said Monga , expressing concern over how Taj conducts himself often with all party leaders. He said the arguments started over some issue regarding internal party matter. Monga said it was high time party high command takes cognizance of Taj behavior. Sources said the situation in the meeting turned volatile when Medical education Minster Taj Mohi ud din reportedly slapped MLC Gh. Nabi Monga after both the leaders entered into heated brawl over some issue. Monga while confirming to KNS the incident said that Taj Mohi ud din was getting upset for losing ground in his constituency at Uri which has made him upset. |
