| BJYM condemns arrest of its activist, demands action against erring officials | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 21 : State Unit of Bharatiya Janat Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has strongly criticized the arrest and brutal torture of its activists in Srinagar by the local police. Addressing the media at party office Jammu, State President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Ravinder Raina condemned the inhuman act of the policemen including the officials posted in Kothi Baag Police Station. He demanded the immediate action against all the culprit policemen and said that if action not taken against the culprits, State BJYM will go to the State Human Rights Commission and the Court to seek the justice. Raina said BJYM activists were peacefully protesting to provide the medical facilities for people affected due to the bandh and the curfew imposed in south Kashmir but police detained the peacefully protesting BJYM activists and took them to Kothi Baag Police Station where they were brutally beaten by the cricket bats and were abused by the policemen. |
