| Trade, Hotels Industry raise concern over delay in Artificial Lake Project | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 21: Trade and Hotels industry of Jammu has expressed concern on the undue delay in completion of Artificial Lake Project on River Tawi in the winter capital city. In a joint statement issued by President All Jammu Hotels & lodged Associaion, Inderjeet Khajuria Kuldip Wahi President Hotels, Restaurants and Bar Association and Ravi Mahajan Chairman Jammu Paryatan Vikas Mandal. They accused the coalition government for releasing inadequate funds that too not in time which has hampered the pace of work. Earlier the work was executed on double shift basis which has now been reduced to a single shift. They said the industry has already brought to the notice of the government that with the commissioning of Katra Rail link in the current year the city of temples will lose business to a great extent and had proposed alternatives in the shape of tourist circuits to make it an independent destination. The delay in completion of Jammu projects on one pretext or the other on solely due to hindrance in free flow of funds can be well understood as a part of discrimination policy of coalition government with Jammu. |
