| Madan, Manjit call on Union Minister | | Rly Minister orders halting point for Tata Moori at Vijaypur | | EARLY TIMES REPORT New Delhi, Sept 21 : Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge today ordered to make Vijaypur a halting point for the Tata Moori train for the convenience of common masses. The Union Railway Minister took this decision, following a meeting with Member Parliament (MP) Madan Lal Sharma and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh. According to a press statement, the Congress leaders appealed the Railway Minister to make a halt point for the Tata Moori train so that the devotees coming from various states, especially from Punjab could not face hardships while coming to Vijaypur. In Vijaypur, there is a known satsang where thousands of people from various areas of north India come but they have to disembark the train at Samba or in Jammu and then they board a passenger bus for Satsang Ghar. Similarly, the Army men also face the problems while returning back to their place of posting. "The soldiers have to go Jammu Railway station or Samba to catch the Tata Moori trains and it was urgent need for the Railway authorities to solve the long pending demands," Manjit Singh said during his meeting with the Railway minister. Singh appraised Railway Minister about the needs for the construction of flyover at Gurha Morh crossing on the Gurha-Utter Behani road. |
