EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 21: Alleging that nothing concrete has taken place to assess the actual losses of Kishtwar incident and release of compensation despite government assurances, the Kishtwar traders said that even after lapse of more than one month people are suffering badly due to inordinate delay. A delegation of traders from Kishtwar who suffered losses in the recent violence over there today visited Chamber House and interacted with the office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) in presence of Member Parliament, Choudhary Lal Singh. During interaction it was demanded that as promised government should take steps to complete the exercise immediately and pay hundred percent compensation to the sufferers of Kishtwar violence without any further delay as the winter season is fast approaching. Lal Singh, assured that he will stand by the Chamber and the people of Kishtwar in resolving the issue of compensation to the sufferers of Kishtwar violence. Prominent among those present in the meeting include Sr. Vice President Sham Lal Langer, Secretary General Arun Gupta, Secretary Deepak Aggarwal, Treasurer Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Ex-Mayor Manmohan Singh and President Rajput Sabha Narayan Singh. |
