Jammu, Sept 21 (JNF) : In a petition filed by Pritam Singh who joined Housing Board in 1982 as class IV and was promoted to the post of Stenographer Junior Scale in 28 years whereas private respondent Ram Pal Sharma who also joined the Board in 1982 as Junior Assistant has gone up to ladder and is presently holding post of Managing Director of Housing Board, the High Court issued various directions to the respondents.
Justice Hasnain Massodi of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv GS Thakur for the petitioner, AAG HA Siddiqui for the State and advocate NA Choudhary for the Housing Board disposed of the petition with the direction to the respondent-board to frame recruitment rules, unless already framed, providing for adequate promotional avenues to all the cadres and also to accord consideration to the petitioner's claim for promotion in light of the rules so framed or already in place. "The respondents shall take a decision on petitioner's claim within eight weeks," the court ordered. |
