Jammu Sept 21: A Dangal (Indian style wrestling) under the auspicious name of Baba Peer Roshan Shah Wali (R.A) Gummat Old City was organized at Hr Secondary School, Bahu Fort, Jammu here today.
An spokesperson said the event is being organized on annual years for many years under the supervision of Pappu Pahalwan and Barudi Mohalla Committee with great enthusiasm.
Senior leader PDP Bharat Choudhary was the Chief Guest while Ashok Jogi Sr Leader Chairman SC/ ST/ OBC, PDP, attended the occasion as guest of honour whereas Sunil Fangotra (Nikki), President, Bahu Fort, PDP presided over the programme.
In his address Chief Guest, Bharat Chodhary appreciated the Dangal committee to organize the event which still set example of brotherhood and harmony. He also said that the annual event not only hones the skills of the local wrestlers but also provides them a platform to them to exhibit their skills.
Chief Guest Bharat Chodhary also announced his financial support to the Dangal for its further promotion.
Ashok Jogi, Sr PDP leader, Sunil Fangolra (Nikki), Pappu Pahalwan, organizer of the Dangal also spoke on the occasion.
