| Gazetted Officers Association takes on DC Kishtwar | | Alleged misbehavior with BMO | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Sept 29 : Infuriated over the continuous arrogant attitude of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Baseer Ahmed Khan towards the Gazetted Officers posted in Kishtwar District, the Gazetted Officers Association today slammed the DC and condemned his misbehavior with BMO Kishtwar Dr. Parvaiz Iqbal Wani during review meeting of health sector. The association met under the Chairmanship of Er. Mohammad Ashraf Gilkar and expressed deep anguish and regret over the bullying and intemperate attitude of the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Baseer Ahmed Khan. During the course of the review meeting on Friday, DC allegedly misbehaved with Dr. Parvez Iqbal Wani, Block Medical Officer Kishtwar. In a press statement issued by the gazette officers' association, sit was alleged that in spite of making meticulous and concise presentation, unethical and uncivil language was used by the District Development Commissioner against Dr. Pervez which impelled him to walk out of the meeting. "This is not an isolated incident of misbehavior of District Development Commissioner ; series of such incidents have taken place during recent past wherein District Development Commissioner has tried to ride roughshod over the officers without giving them a chance to explain their position" read the statement. The Officers Association, Kishtwar expressed complete solidarity with Dr. Pervez and condemned the incident in unequivocal manner. They have also appealed to the concerned authorities to intervene and ask District Development Commissioner to show restraint and civilized behavior in dealing with such situations. The meeting was attended by over three Dozen officers including some District heads of the departments. Several Gazetted officers while talking to "Early Times" said that the arrogant and unethical attitude of the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar will not be tolerated anymore and added that in case the officer did not fall in line, several officers have decided to boycott him. Many officers said that they want to cooperate with the administration to improve the progress in work culture, beside to achieve better result, but added that they shall not compromise at their honor and dignity. |
