| Pakistan violates truce agreement in Rajouri | | | Et Report
Rajouri, Sept 29 : Despite heavy loss to infrastructure and man power during heavy retaliatory firing during last two months by the Indian troopers, Pakistan army is continuously violating the ceasefire agreement in Rajouri and Poonch dsitricts.
Pakistan troops have been targeting the forward posts with small, automatic weapons, mortars, light and medium machine guns.
"Indian army has been retaliating with matching caliber weapons and no loss to life anf property was noticed on our side" said SN Achaarya, officiating defence spokesman. In the early hours on Sunday Pakistan troops resorted to unprovoked firing on R-3 and 507 posts in Keri sector in Rajouri district which is manned by Sikh and Sikh Light Infantry units. Pertinent to mention here that on June ,26 four terrorists had made an unsuccessful attempt to enter the Indian soil from near these posts.
Two militants were killed by the BSF and Sikh unit while two managed to retrieve to POK side. Sources in defence said that at about 6.50 am Pakistan troop started unprovoked firing with small arms from their forward post which retaliated effectively by the Indian troops and BSF personnel.
The firing continued till 7.40 am. Pakistan troops again opened the mouth of their guns at about 9 am but within 15 minutes Indian troops forced their guns to fell silent. Today's ceasefire violation was not highlighted and confirmed by the senior army officers at Rajouri by intelligence didn't denied the reports. It was about 22nd truce violation in the month of September by the oakistan army and their every effort to felicitate the intruders to enter the Indian soil was foiled by the alert Indian troopers.
On Saturday morning Pakistan troops from 641 & 644 Mujahid battalions had targeted the Indian posts and villages in Kirni, Mandhar and Shahpur sectors in Poonch sectors from their Ringkantoor, Newmbker, Zora 1&2 Twin Tree etc. Sources in defence said that in the retaliatory heavy firing Indian troopers had destroyed their Newmbker post.
Sources further added that In Keri sector Pakistan army had opened firing possibly to help the intruders because intelligence inputs have confirmed the presence of more than 40 hard core fully trained reportedly Pakistan national near the Line of Control from Tarkundi (in Poonch district) to Kaskancha ( in Noushera sub sector in Rajouri).
These terrorists are waiting for their turn either to infiltrate or they could be members of BAT operation which the army also expect at any time and at any place in Both the frontier districts of Rajouri and Poonch. |
