early times report JAMMU, Sept 29: Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar adjudged first in the group song competition, which was part of the ongoing Display Your Talent Contest, organised by the Department of Students Welfare (DSW) at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here today. Second place went to GCW Parade while team from Government MAM College declared third. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Government Degree College (Boys), Udhampur, Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) and GCW Udhampur. Earlier, each participating team presented a patriotic and a folk song in the given time of 10 minutes. Praduman Singh, Sham Sajan and Nand Kishore Pal were the adjudicators for this competition. Dr Shallu Sehgal of Department of Economic was teacher incharge, who apprised the participants about the rules and regulations. Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Neeru Sharma distributed the prizes and certificates of merits amongst the participants in presence of Dean Students Welfare, Prof. NK Tripathi and Co-Chairman of Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Yash Pal Sharma. The proceedings were conducted by Secretary of Students Cultural Council, Apoorva Jamwal while Joginder Singh acted as time keeper.
