Kathua, Oct 4: As a part of Nav Durga Festival, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sarthal-Kathua Tourism Development Authority Dr. Bharat Bushan inaugurated Navratra celebrations.
As per press release, the Nav Durga Festival will be celebrated for nine days as per Hindu rituals by "Prajapita Brama Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidhalya Kathua" kathua. The beginning of celebration of Durga Puja has been started with taking out a massive procession around the town under the able guidance of BK Beena Behan who is the district head of centre.
On the occasion the religious sermons were delivered and hymns were sung in praise of goddess Durga. While addressing the media B.K Beena Behan informed that the basic aim of organizing the Navratra Festival Yatra is to propagate the message of universal brotherhood, amity and solidarity besides exhorting the masses to lead simple, non-violent life free from vices and addictions. |
