Rajouri, Oct 4 : Serious of the State government and its administration in the proven cases of embezzlements of government funds, is evident from the glaring example in which DDC Rajouri has recommended action in complaint No36039/CM Grievance cell dt 14/12/2011. RTI activists at Rajouri including SK Mughal, president Social Justice, NGO, Shah Nawaz, Movin Ahmed, Javaid Ahmed etc have been complaining for the last two years about large scale embezzlements in PWD, CA&PD,R&B, Social Welfare and Rural Developments departments and demanding copy of investigation report in alleged mismanagement and irregularities in Pahari hostel (complaint 36039), but to no avail. "For the last two years no RTI case has been settled in district Rajouri" said Javed Mughal, president Social Justice NGO. Complaint No, 36039 dt 14/11/12 was received by the DDC, Rajouri from vigilance organisation (VO) and inmates of Pahari hostel situated at Rajouri, wherein mismanagement and irregularities in the hostel were reported. Vide order No SQ160509 dt 28/11/11 , DDC Rajouri handed over enquiry to Farooq Shah , Assistant Commissioner (defence). In his report submitted to DDC dt 2/12/2012 enquiry officer had confirmed grave irregularities and mismanagement in the Pahari hostel. DDC vide office letter No.SQ192024 dt17/1/2012 forwarded the enquiry report to Director Social Welfare for necessary action. The report was also dispatched to Commissioner secretary to government, social welfare department J&K, Secretary, state advisory board of Pahari speaking people for necessary action and information. The copy of the report was also dispatched to superintendent of Police ,VO (PR) vide DDC office letter No SQ2252 dt1/3/2012.
In his letter to above mentioned officers DDC , Rajouri had confirmed that the complaint had been found genuine as the enquiry had already been conducted and the concerned officers have been directed to take necessary corrective action in this matter.
SK Mughal , Rajinder Meha , president and legal advisor , Social Justice, a NGO, on Wednesday had said that even today no action has been taken against the present warden of Pahari hostel despite DDC recommendations in June, 2013 that the officer was found involved in mismanagement and irregularities.
