`Rather has failed, must resign voluntarily'
Sambyal plays Kamaal
10/4/2013 11:35:39 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 4: Seva Dal Leader Balvinder Singh Sambyal today staged yet another `coalition drama' by demanding playing NC's Mustafa Kamaal. He demanded resignation of Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, Pradesh Congress Seva Dal chief Balvinder Singh Sambyal today alleged that Rather had proved a failure.
Strangely enough when National Conference (NC) additional general secretary Dr Mustafa Kamaal issues statements against the Congress leaders, they ridicule him in single voice. They rush to Sonia Ji to set things right. Today Sambyal played Kamaal and thus turned the `perpetrator'. The irony is that he threatened to seek Sonia Ji's intervention. This shows how things work in Congress party. If Sheikh family is accused of taking decisions in the `Kitchen Cabinet', Congress takes its decisions in the Gandhi Family.
Seeking his resignation on moral grounds for failing to fulfil the agreed demands of the employees. Sambyal said in case he does not resign voluntarily, he should be sacked.
Singh who has chaired the Seva Dal meeting here today expressed his full support to the agitating employees and said, "stop harassing the employees".
Sambyal said, "A contract was signed between State employees' leaders and Government headed by Finance Minister, Rather that their demands would be fulfilled immediately but nothing has been done so far.
Now when employees have once again gone for strike, the Government has decided to act tough against them. "It is Rather, who forced the employees to take the path of agitation. And when he is the cause, he cannot invoke the `no work no pay' rule," he said.
He said he would take up the matter with PA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in this regard. He also urged the employees to boycott National Conference in the forthcoming Assembly elections and support the Congress party.
SS Jamwal (Gen Secy. State), Vinay Gupta (Gen Secy. State), Dr ML Rao, Satish Bhagat (Chief Jammu Urban), Sardar Harinder Singh, Rajni Sharma, JK Kaul and others participated in the meeting.
