| Court frames corruption charges against Patwari in trap case | | | Jammu, Oct 4 (JNF): Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Parihar today framed charges u/ 5(2) PC Act r/w section 161 RPC against patwari Balwan Singh who was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization while allegedly accepting Rs 5000 from the complainant.
According to the VO case one Sardari Lal lodged a written complaint that the complainant had applied for Nakal Jamabandi of his eight kanals of land situated at village Ladore, here. The accused Patwari Halqa Flora Nagbani, Jammu allegedly demanded Rs 5000 as bribe from the complainant for issuance of the Nakal Jamabandi.
On the basis of said complaint, a case FIR No. 25/2011 u/s Section 5(2) P.C.Act r/w Section 161 RPC was registered and investigation taken up. During investigation the officials of Vigilance trapped the accused and caught him red handed while demanding and accepting phenolphthalein dusted amount of Rs 5000 from the complainant. After completion of investigation challan was presented in the Court. |
