Husband, brothers arrested for murder, destroying evidence
Suspicious death of young House wife

Rajouri, Oct 4 : After the complaint lodged with the SSP by the father of a young house wife that his daughter was killed by her in-laws and police at Budhal did not take any action in their complaint, an investigation was initiated and after detailed enquiry by DySP operations it was established that it was a blind murder. On the recommendation of enquiry officer three head constables have been attached at district police line (DPL) and SHO Rakesh Kumar has been asked to complete the case against the accused as soon as possible. After the investigation the husband of the deceased identified as Abdul Shaqoor has been booked in murder of his wife while his two brothers were booked for destroying the evidences and helping the accused in burying the body in hurry in a forest near grave yard. In the second weem of September, Abdul Qayoom and his son met Mubasir Latifi ,SSP Rajouri and informed that his daughter Rukhsana died in suspicious circumstances in the intervening night of September 2 & 3 at her in-laws house in village Lal Bani (Samote)under the jurisdiction of Budhal police station. He also alleged that she was buried in hurry by her in-laws without informing them in time and when they approached the police at Budhal to lodge a complaint of suspicious death their complaint was not entertained by the concerned officials. On the directions of SP, police started investigations under 174 CrPC and inquiry was handed over to Ayaz Shaikh , DySP operations. During investigation, which was conducted under the supervision of Danesh Rana , DIG Rajouri-Poonch range and Mubasi Latifi district SP, on the request of police FC Bhagat , District Magistrate (DDC) extended the permission, to exhume the body and it was exhumed on September,13. The medical (postmortem) report revealed that Rukhsana had died due to physical torture. After the report police swung into action and interrogated Abdul Shakoor , husband and his two brothers namely Abdul Qayoom and Mohd Ayub.
Abdul Shakoor succumbed to police interrogation and has admitted that he had killed her wife Rukhsana alleging that she had illicit relation with his younger brother Mohd Ayub.He also admitted that his brothers have also helped him in the burial of the body and in destroying the proofs of torture (murder) . Police have booked Abdul Shakoor under sections 302,109 and 201 RPC while Abdul Qayoom and Mohd Ayub have been booked under sections 109 and 201 RPCs. A senior police officer said that Abdul Qayoom is absconding and police teams have been fanned out to arrest him while Shakoor and Ayub are in police custody. After a complaint of suspicious death by the parents for alleged dowry harrassment, and after the permission of DM , Budhal police had exhumed the body of a woman in Samote village in the evening on September,13. The investigation was carried out by Ayaz Shaikh , DySP operations under the supervision of Danesh Rana, DIG police and Mubasir Latifi, SP. The officer has recommended action against the erring policemen in his report submitted to the senior officers few days ago.
