| NSF delegation calls on VC | | 'Make reports of enquiries public' | | Jammu, Oct 4: A delegation of National Secular Forum called on Vice Chancellor Jammu University over the issue of defamation and disrespect of Shaheed Bhagat Singh by the Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof Shoaib Malik. The VC Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar promised to bring out the facts of the issue soon and punish the person if found guilty. In the meeting, the issue of disrespect of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, by Prof Malik was raised and immediate action against him was demanded. It was said that responsible person at the helm of the campus on the post of rector should be given the right treatment of punishment on the basis because he has shown disrespect to the Bhagat Singh on the occasion of his birthday recently. Pertinent to mention here is that from last seven days all the college students and students of Bhaderwah campus are protesting against the 'unethical and antinational attitude' of Prof Malik who has debarred the students of Bhaderwah campus to celebrate the birthday of Bhagat Singh in the campus. According to a statement of the NSF the VC accepted all the verbal and written charges against Prof Malik and has initiated the process of internal enquiry to bring out the facts. Further NSF delegation also demanded to publicize the reports of all the enquiries which were earlier initiated against the university departments in various corruption charges such as The Business School in irregularities and violation of University guidelines has been done by the Director TBS in the last ten months. Among those who were part of delegation included Sukhdev Singh, Akshey Sharma, Barket Ali, Qayoom Malik, Vikram Madhyal, Javed, PP Singh, Sunil Kumar and Pushpinder Singh.
