JAMMU, Oct 4: The Department of Agriculture, Sub Division Akhnoor, organized a farmers' awareness camp on paddy at Village Chardagran under NFSM. The camp was conducted under the supervision of SDAO Akhnoor, R P Sharma. A large number of farmers from villages Patyari, Ambaran, Guratalab and Chardagran took part in the camp. SDM Akhnoor Girish Dayalan, was the chief guest on the occasion, who interacted with the farming community, self help group women and mushroom growers. Later on SDM inspected bio-gas units constructed at village Chardagran by the Department of Agriculture and said that bio-gas has enormous potential in rural belts, it is eco-friendly, pollution free and help in reducing the global climate change.
On the occasion, Sarpanch Surinder Singh and Naib Sarpanch Mohd Yaqoob were also present. |
