| Students of MBS college stage protest in support of professor | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: Students of Mahnant Bichter Singh College for Engineering and Technology (MBSCET) today boycotted their classes in support their professor demand to increase pay increment of other staff members at par with a pleased staff member who getting double salary.
The students of especially of 7th semester in different engineering courses gathered in the premises of MBS and shouted slogans against the administrator H S Gill.
They also blocked the movement on the gate, alleging that the administrator trying to apply police rules on students as well as staff members as he was retired police official.
A student said that the trouble erupted when the professor KAW, being aware about the fact that one the staff members were receiving double salary as compared to other staff members due his internal relation .
"Professor A K KAW immediately knocked the door of administrator and asked that give pay increment to all staff members" he informed.
"The administrator refuted to concede the demand of professor KAW and he resigned immediately".
He further said that the incident has created resentment among the professor's, students and they staged protest demonstration at college premises.
