5 RDD officials placed under suspension 10/31/2013 10:30:28 PM Early Times Report REASI, Oct 31: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Joginder Singh Rai placed five officials of Rural Development Department (RDD) under suspension for poor performance and dereliction of duty. The suspended officials include namely as Gulzar Ahmed VLW, Gurpreet Singh GRS, Karail Singh TA, Mohd Yaqoob MPW, and Mubassir Hussain GRS from panchayats of Chassana and Shergari who had been attached with office of District Development Commissioner Reasi. An official spokesperson stated that the action was taken after various deputations from panchayats in Mahore tehsil approached the District Development Commissioner (DDC) complaining about problems being faced on various fronts of MGNREGA implementation. "An enquiry was ordered in the matter and five officials were found guilty of poor performance as the district administration has fixed monthly targets for panchayats and these officials failed to perform their duty thereby leady to delay in construction works, he said, adding, "District Panchayat Officer Rohit Sharma has been deputed to these panchayats for detailed enquiry into the matter and initiate further action.
