Sports Reporter JAMMU, Oct 31: Singh Club Bandhurakh and Territorial Army (TA) 157 today moved into the second round of quarterfinals in the ongoing Ist Baba Fateh Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here. In the first round of pre-quarterfinals, Singh Club defeated Zorawar Club by four goals to two. Harvinder Singh (21st), Manmeet Singh 23rd) and Vikram Singh (37th and 54th) were the scorers from winners Singh Club while Harpreet Singh (30th) and Harshved Singh (34th) reduced the margin from Zorawar Club. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, TA blanked Deshmesh Club Gole Gujral 3-0. Gurmeet Singh, Satinder Singh and PP Singh were the scorers. Today's matches were officiated by the technical penal including Iqbal Singh, Jagjit Singh, JS Reen and G S Bakshi. Delhi XI enters semis of Eid Diwali Milan T20 Cup Sports Reporter JAMMU, Oct 31: Delhi XI today registered a fine 37 runs win against Challenger XI to qualify for the semifinals of the Eid-Diwali Milan Twenty20 Cricket Cup underway at MA Stadium, here. Batting first, Delhi XI made 148 runs for the loss of five wickets. Abhishek (49) and Anuj Choudhary (34) were main scorers. Sahil, Aditya, Kaka and Manjeet took one wicket each from Challenger XI. In reply, Challenger XI bowled out for 109 runs. Parveen and Manjeet were only batsmen who scored in double figure with 24 and 21 runs in their respective accounts. Ankit took three wickets while Abhishek and Anuj shared two each from Delhi XI. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Punjab XI defeated Mumbai XI. Earlier, batting first, Punjab XI lost all their wickets for 147 runs with Rahul Kumar (29), Anil (21) and Manoj (20) being main scorers. From Mumbai, Baljeet took three wickets, followed by Sachin and Prashant, who bagged two and one wicket respectively. Later, Mumbai XI could not chase the target and bundled out for 97 runs. Sachin (29) remained highest scorer. Manoj, Anil and Mohit took two wickets each while Jagjeep took one. Manoj adjudged man of the match.
