Kathua, Oct 31: SPS Police Training School Kathua organized Eid-Diwali Milan get together in the institution which Jatendra Kumar Singh, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Kathua was the chief guest. Besides officers of Civil Administration Kathua from various departments were also invited to attend the same. During get together SR.K.Bhat, SP Principal SPS PTS Kathua welcomed the chief guest and other district officers visiting the institution to attend the same. Rakesh Kumar Dhar, SP Vice Principal, Rajesh Gill, CPO Asstt. Principal (Indoor), Kuldeep Raj Tripathi, Dy.SP Asstt. Principal (Admn), Ramnish Kumar, Dy.SP Asstt. Principal (Outdoor), Manzoor Hussain, Dy.SP Chief Law Instructor among other officers and staff of PTS Kathua were present in the Eid-Diwali Milan function. Students of National Academy High School Kathua also participated in the function and presented a colourful cultural bonanza which was highly appreciated by the audience. This was the first function of its kind organized in Kathua. While speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Kathua lauded the efforts of administration of SPS Police Training School Kathua for organizing the said function. He said that it sends the message of brotherhood and communal harmony in the society and stressed upon the need for organizing such events in future for maintaining peace, tranquility and brotherhood among different sections of the society. He further stated that in India only all the religious festivals are celebrated by all the faiths with great joy and fervor. Other countries do not follow these principles of celebrating all religious festivals due to which so many incidents of communal disturbances occurs. He also stated that Indian constitution allows every citizen of India to observe and celebrate any festival according to ones own faith. R.K.Bhat, SP Principal SPS PTS Kathua while speaking on the occasion said that the main idea of hosting Eid-Diwali Milan get together is to celebrate the duo festivals together with joy and to celebrate with different faiths of society. An effort of PTS Kathua to promote communal brotherhood among all masses besides training its men for thwarting designs of forces inimical to peace. Meanwhile the students of National Academy High School Kathua enthralled the gathering with their great performance of singing and dancing. Later on the trophies along with cash rewards and certificates were also distributed to the participant students.
