| NSS unit of SHCE holds awareness rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: NSS unit of Sacred Heart College of Education (SHCE), Paloura organized health awareness rally in nearby slum areas of Paloura to create awareness among people about health and sanitation.
Principal of the college, Dr K K Tiwari flagged off the rally and also appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers of college for volunteering for serving with a mission.
According to college spokesperson atleast 70 NSS volunteers participated in this rally which was organized by NSS Officer Prof Sheetal Khajuria. Others faculty members who coordinated the rally the accompanied Prof Neha Sharma, Miss Pooja Sharma, Prof Kiran Manhas and Prof Priyanka Manhas.
In this rally volunteers interacted with the locals and spread the message of healthy living and sustainable life. Volunteers also give distributed brochures about prevention of different diseases especially dengue which is the most prevalent disease now a days. |
