KATHUA, Dec 12: J&K ITCO organized a programme on capacity building of government officers in District Kathua on the selection of consultants and client-consultant agreement in collaboration with Consultancy Development Centre (CDC) DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The programme wherein more than 50 officers from allied departments participated was chaired by District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Jatinder Singh. On the occasion, discussion was held in detail on the steps of hiring consultancy services like identifying needs and goals for the proposed project, selection of consultancy, creating selection criteria, evaluation of proposals etc. Also terms like Expression of Interest (EoI), Request for proposals (RFP) are discussed in detail. In the technical session, Binoy Kumar, Consultant, J&K ITCO explained various aspects of selecting a consultant while following a set procedure. He also explained to the participating officers the contract requirements on Clint- Consultant agreement. Jatinder Singh, District Development Commissioner, Kathua stressed the need to follow quality cost basis selection of consultants. |
